Youth Minister Job Description
Part-time Position
The Youth Minister will be responsible for implementing regular and one-time youth activities, organizing and participating in Falls Creek summer camp, planning and developing relationships with teens and their families, all under the supervision of the pastor.
Responsibilities
Promote a deeper relationship through modeling and teaching, encouraging spiritual maturity of those who are part of the youth ministry.
Help identify the issues and challenges faced by today’s youth and provide pastoral care for them and their families.
Personally set an example of loving and serving others while providing evangelistic outreach opportunities for the youth to reach the community.
Help families disciple their youth by using God’s word on a practical level.
Continue the mission of IBC by being “Great Commandment Minded and Great Commission Driven” with parents, staff, and volunteers.
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, to all individuals connected to the ministry.
Displays good judgment and delegates the right responsibilities to the right people at the right time.
Develop, facilitate, and participate in core Bible teaching for the youth during Sunday school and Wednesday night Bible Study.
Teaching as directed as opportunities arise.
Attend all church services throughout the week.
The part-time youth minister’s salary to be evaluated by personnel and stewardship committees and approved by the church.
