About Us | Bible Studies | Need Prayer?

Steve Hawley was born and raised here in Oklahoma and was saved at age 17 and called by God to the ministry at 18. He married his wife Cindy and she has faithfully supported and encouraged him through the years. He has two children and four grandchildren. He has served in a variety of ministries and was blessed to serve as A Senior Pastor at the Eastland Hills Baptist Church here in Oklahoma for 22 years before relocating to Honolulu, Hawaii where he served as Pastor at The First Southern Baptist Church of Pearl Harbor.

Needing to be nearer to family, Steve and Cindy returned to the mainland where he served as the President of “Press On” a ministry of encouragement to the local church.

Steve’s hobbies over the years have included, coaching football and basketball at the high school level, the study of history, museums and historical sites, reading, running and working out. Steve currently enjoys weight lifting, trail running and spending as much time as possible with the grandkids.

Steve has been privileged to preach all over the world and has a great passion for the Word of God and the local church and its ministries. He believes that the primary goal of the Pastor is to “equip the saints for the work of the ministry,” Ephesians 4:11, therefore, his leadership style is a based on a team approach to ministry. His strengths include biblically centered, relevant preaching, the ability to communicate Biblical truth in a practical, easy to understand manner and the ability to motivate and lead by consensus.
